Important: You must provide your own copy of the game. Piracy is not supported.

DO NOT ask for ANY ROMs. It is illegal to distribute ROMs of any sort. HIT+64 does not supply, or distribute ROMs. Asking for a ROM will result in immediate account suspension.

1Get a Supported ROM

Starship only works with US versions of the game (1.0 or 1.1). For score running, either option is allowed as they patched the game to remove the score cap of 511 on 1.1 versions.

US 1.0 ROM

Check your ROM hash using: ROMHacking.net Hash Tool

Note: EU/JP ROMs are only for optional voice replacement. You must start with a US ROM.

2Ensure .z64 Format

If your ROM is in .n64 format, you need to convert it to .z64 format.

Convert your ROM using: Swapper Tool

Starship requires ROMs to be in .z64 format for proper compatibility.

3Download Starship

Download the latest release for your operating system.

Windows macOS Linux Nintendo Switch

DOWNLOAD STARSHIP

4Generate the OTR and Play

Windows

Extract the ZIP to a folder
Run starship.exe and select your ROM

Linux

Extract the ZIP to a folder
Make the file executable:
chmod +x starship.appimage
Run starship.appimage and select your ROM

macOS

Extract the ZIP to a folder
Run starship and select your ROM

Nintendo Switch

Run Starship on a PC (Windows/Linux/macOS)
This will create an sf64.o2r file in the same folder
Copy the file to your Switch SD card
