Scheduling Score Attack Race Events are HERE!

Hello HIT+64 Community!

I'm thrilled to announce that the long awaited event scheduling system is officially live! Moderators and score runners can now post their availability directly on the website. When two users' schedules align, either party can initiate a scheduled event for that time slot, making it easier than ever to organize Score Attack races through HIT+64! You can access this by logging in, and clicking "Schedule an Event" in the top right of the navigation bar on the main website (A SFS2 version will be added later once I find icons for it). The "Schedule an Event" option will ONLY be available to you if you had at least one verified score.

How Hosting & Participation Works
To host an event, you'll invite players to join (a minimum of 2 players is required to start, [yourself, and a participant]). This becomes available once two player's time slots line up with one another. Invitations are sent to players' inboxes, where they can either accept or decline. As long as at least one person accepts, the host can finalize the event.

Once finalized, the event is automatically advertised on the main website (for both Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Switch 2 versions) and on Discord in the events channel. This is also complete with a live countdown timer. Please note: while only 3 events can be advertised on the homepage at once (on a first-come, first-served basis), many more events can be scheduled simultaneously behind the scenes!

Open Invites
If you prefer a wider net, hosts can set their event to "Open Invite." This allows anyone to apply, regardless of whether they have a schedule posted. The host retains full control to accept or decline these applications. Remember: participants who join via Open Invite cannot be reported for no-shows, since they weren't originally required to be on the roster.

Attendance Score & No-Show Policy
To keep our events reliable, we've implemented an attendance tracking system. If an invited player fails to show up, the host can report them, which will lower their attendance score.

-Below 60% → A warning will appear on their profile, alerting hosts before they send an invitation.
-At 30% → A staff member must manually approve their invitation before they can join.
-Below 30% → They will be denied from participating in future scheduled events entirely.

Event Details & Rules
When scheduling, you can customize the event description to include:

Which game you're playing (Star Fox 64 or Star Fox on Switch 2).

The specific mode (e.g., Merc League Score Attack, Single-Life Score Attack, etc. the choice is yours!).

Any custom rules participants must follow (including but not limited to the platform you are streaming on's terms of service)

Your preferred streaming platform, so everyone can coordinate their broadcasts smoothly.

Scheduling Logistics
Events are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a time slot is confirmed, it is locked exclusively for that event. To prevent overlaps, a new event cannot start until at least 10 minutes after the previous one has ended. Hosts can define exactly how long their event will last, and multiple events can take place throughout the same day.

Closing
Now these systems are still brand new, and may be tweaked FREQUENTLY in the future. We also don't want users to be having to make their own DMs every time, so for now, please reach out to a @Moderator if you need a dedicated event voice channel for your event! (This may be automated in the future via @Slippy to automatically give you, and your participants a private voice channel for events when they are finalized, and will automatically delete itself after the event has concluded)

If you have any questions, feel free to discuss them in general. I'll be happy to answer them as best I can. Thank you, and happy racing!

Upcoming Changes - Event Systems!

HIT+64 will be working on an event systems! We read the consensus data, and we found that most of you are interested in seeing more score attack races and tournaments hosted by HIT+64. At the moment we can't talk about tournaments because it's going to require more conversation within the moderation team, but we will be happy to talk about score attack races.

HIT+64 is working on an event system that will allow users to specify their availability. When two, or more users availability line up, ANY of those users can now officially schedule an event with another user. You can specify to leave it as open invitation as well, for a user who did NOT leave their availability, but wants to participate in your event.

This system will allow for moderators, AND community members to start hosting their own events. You can leave a description on how your event is going to work, the rules you need to follow, and what you plan on doing within your event.

For an example, When a moderator starts a Mercenary League for the month, they can now schedule it on the calendar for the Merc League drawing, and allow users to participate. This will schedule an event where every user can start streaming and do a score attack race FOR that Mercenary League drawing. This systems can be used for in general score attack races, or even 2k%, the choice is up to the host!

The person who schedules the event will be considered the host. An event can ONLY be scheduled when at least one person accepts your invite and the event is finalized. Multiple events can happen in a day, but only ONE event can be hosted per a time slot. The host can specify how long the event will go on for.

Event hosts MUST schedule their events a minimum of one week out in advance. If you would to schedule an event earlier, a moderator will have to get permission from a moderator to host that event within the lockout period. Anytime AFTER a week will NOT require a moderator to approve your event. You can also contact a moderator to cancel an event for whatever reason.

If you have an issue with a user who does NOT show up for your event that was scheduled to be apart of your event, you can report them for not showing, and we will lower their attendance score. A score below or at 60% will give a warning to ALL hosts in the future that this user is flakey with their attendance. A score at 30% or below will require a moderator to approve their attendance before they can sign up for the event and participate.

This event system should allow ANYONE to host score attack races, so it's not just dependent on a moderator to host one. We will also use this system to advertise the event on the main website, and in the discord, as well as giving a dedicated web page that will allow everyone to view ALL streams at the same time (similar to multi stream watching).

Please be patient as we are working on finalizing these systems! These systems are DIRECTLY because of the consensus data so we very much appreciate everyone for taking the time to filling that out. As always, if you have any other concerns, questions, or feedback in general, you can always fill out a feedback form anonymously at any point in time! Feedback is checked DAILY, so it WILL be read.

Thank you for using HIT+64, and thank you once again for your feedback. Again these systems are not done yet, but they should be coming out very soon!

Mercenary League is Now Fully Supported on Switch 2!

We know Mercenary League has always been one of the community's favorite events here at HIT+64, but we wanted to wait before adding support for the Switch 2 version.

Supporting the Switch 2 release required significant backend changes to properly handle the new version of Star Fox, and we're happy to announce that everything is now complete!

Starting now, you'll be able to:

  • Browse archives of previous Switch 2 Mercenary League events.

  • Submit Switch 2 scores to Mercenary League using the exact same process as the N64 version.

  • Enjoy the same quality-of-life improvements, including automatic route selection when submitting a Mercenary League score.

Of course, the N64 and Switch 2 versions will have separate Mercenary League leaderboards, but they'll always use the same monthly route. Each platform will have its own monthly rankings while competing on the same challenge.

We also have some much bigger things in the works that we aren't ready to share just yet...

Expect a video update very soon.

New to Mercenary League?

Any qualifying run you submit during the active league period will automatically count toward that month's standings, provided it matches the selected monthly route and follows the No Restarts ruleset.

How it works:
A route is selected for the month.
You have until the end of the month to submit a No Restarts/Single-Life run on that route.
As long as your submission matches the selected route and ruleset, it will automatically count toward that month's Mercenary League standings.

Important: Your run only needs to be submitted before the monthly deadline. Even if a moderator hasn't reviewed or approved it before the month ends, it will still count as long as it was submitted on time.

Star Fox Switch 2 Leaderboards are now LIVE!

Hello Hit+64!

The leaderboards for Star Fox on the Switch 2 are finally out! Here's the link: https://hit64.net/SFS2/leaderboards.cfm

With that said, here's how the new leaderboards will work. Like the old style, you'll be able to select individual levels (and overall totals) from the level tab, and use the route selector to choose between routes 1–12 or 13–25 (these are separated just to make it easier to navigate as there's a lot of routes).

By default, all difficulties are combined, but you can filter specifically for Easy, Normal, or Expert if you prefer.

Additionally, "Single-Life" has been renamed to "No Restarts" to align with the terminology used in SFS2. This remains a supported category and functions the same as in Star Fox 64, where you only get one try to complete a route without dying or resetting, with Corneria being the exception. (You may restart the stage entirely, but not from a checkpoint, for convenience.)

When submitting scores, you will have to provide your patch version. By default, all patches will be combined (however, if the community prefers otherwise, feel free to voice your concerns and we can adjust it to display the current patch by default). You can still choose to filter by the current patch or view leaderboards for previous patches.

Mercenary Mode is NOT on the docket yet for Switch 2 version, please do NOT submit your scores for Mercenary League on the Switch 2. Only the leaderboards are up, and there is more systems that needs to be put in place before Mercenary League can be supported website wise for the Switch 2 version.

Additional Updates:

"Greats Received" and inbox messages have been merged into one redesigned system. You'll now have a brand-new inbox where you can track the greats you've received, messages you've sent, comments you've left on scores, and comments you've received on your scores, the last of which is a completely new feature!

Finally, the Star Fox 64 leaderboards have been adjusted to not accept any Switch 2 scores, keeping the two versions completely separate.

Star Fox 64 boards will still be called Single-Life, no adjustments have been made to these boards besides the exclusion of Switch 2 scores.
